  ‘Okay girlfriend I think that’s about it, you’re rubbish are all here.’ Said Denise while dropping the box on the floor.  ‘Hey! The box is marked FRAGILE, can’t you read?’ said Fifi.  ‘Well SOR-REE, I’m just tired! And I am in need of a little appreciation?’ answered Denise.  ‘Sigh, sorry. I guess I’m a little cranky, us moving in together and all.’  ‘It’s okay BFF, but the fact is what is in all these boxes?’  ‘Books of course!’ answered Fifi while rolling her eyes.  ‘Err…Books as in, story books?’  ‘No silly, reference books.  You know I’m taking meds.’  ‘Oh my GOD! Nerd!’ said Denise and ran away from Fifi, while dodging her pillows.

  ‘Today is girlfriend day! Let’s go out Fifi!’ squealed Denise.  ‘I heard there’s a new mall around the block, I think it’s called Pavilion. Let’s go check it out.’  ‘Nah, why don’t you go alone?  I need to study this chapter on bones. Now, what’s after the cervical vertebrae?’  ‘Fine, I’ll just go with Reno! You’re missing all the fun!’ pouted Denise and went out.  ‘Sigh, where was I again? Yes, the Coccyx.’

  ‘A few years ago I was unpacking for both of us.  Now I’m unpacking for you and Gavin. I really can’t believe you’re married, and I was the one going out every time. I think I’m going to be a spinster.’  ‘No, it can’t be that serious D. Just, stick with one boyfriend for awhile.’ Laughed Fifi.  Getting married was still new to her, and her face was still flushed from all that excitement.  ‘For once, I’m going to listen to you. Thank God you still remember me and asked me to be your bridesmaid, else I crash your wedding.’ Giggled Denise.  ‘Well, lucky treasure here picked you. Hi honey!’ greeted Gavin and gave Fifi a kiss.  ‘Eww, lovey dovey mush in front of me! I really have to go guys, promised Jude I’ll meet him by 3.’  ‘Whoa, still with Reno? That’s a VERY good thing coming from you. I’m hearing wedding bells!’ joked Fifi.  ‘Watch it girlfriend, I’m not as bad as you think.’ Answered Denise as she drove of.

  ‘Honey I’m home!’ called Fifi. ‘Hmm, he must be at work. No matter, I have 2 episodes to catch on Desperate Housewives. And some popcorn would be nice.’  While in the kitchen, Fifi heard something coming from the living room.  ‘Gavin, are you home?’ asked Fifi as she looked out from the kitchen.  Suddenly Fifi noticed that the wall behind the aquarium was slowly changing.  It turned from grey to black, then it turned back to grey again.  Fifi was stunned, the popcorn she was holding fell on the floor.  She tried to scream but nothing came out from her.  Fifi watched in horror as suddenly a severed hand came out of the wall and was reaching towards her.  ‘Pumpkin, I’m home. And why did you leave the TV on?’ shouted Gavin from the door, when suddenly he saw his wife on the floor staring wide eyed at something.  ‘Honey, are you okay?’ asked Gavin as he rushed to her side.  ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘Oh, G…Gavin. You’re back.’ Mumbled Fifi as she snapped back to reality.  She took one look at the wall again and was relieved that it remained the same. ‘Nothing, I…I was just tired I guess.’  ‘Then you should go to sleep, no more watching TV until 2 in the morning.’  ‘But cupcake, it’s a 2 hour marathon today! 2 episodes of Desperate Housewives back to back! If you don’t let me watch it, I’ll really be a desperate housewife!’ pouted Fifi.  ‘Sometimes I think that you act more like a little girl than a doctor. You know staying up late is bad for you. Now look what happened? Passing out on the floor.’ Frowned Gavin.  ‘Okay, but just this once. Let me tape this episode first, then to bed.’

Well, I’m a shopaholic fan (DUH!) and got this book from my ever so lovely cousin for Christmas. (wheee!!)  Anyway, Becky and Jessica (her long lost sister) are 2 totally different persons!! Becky likes shopping (as much as I do), and Jessica despises shopping (as much as my sister does).  I really feel like it’s writing about me, well ehem, aside that Becky really spends A LOT of money, and I kinda don’t. LoL.  Other than that, I really liked Sophie Kinsella’s idea of creating an ANGEL BAG.  (Well, basically there are 7 types of them and they are really hard to get in the shopaholic world.)  I did some research on the fallen angels the other day and came up with 7 names; Uriel, Raphael, Raguel, Micheal, Sariel, Gabriel and Reniel.  But in Shopaholic, there’s one named Dante, but who cares!!  I LOVE SHOPAHOLIC!!

  It was already half past six in the morning.  It was getting cold.  Kray snuggled closer to Darkbite, his father.  Since his mother died, dad always took care of him.  On the day he was born itself, both his parents were attacked by hunters.  From that day onwards, not a wolf trusted the two-legs.  Scared for both their cub’s and their safety.

 ‘You awake son?’ yawned Darkbite, showing his fangs.  “Let’s go for a hunt, I’m starving!’ and ignoring Kray, ran out of their cave in search of wild rabbits.  Kray on the other hand ran off to find his friend, Shadow and together they went exploring into the woods.

  ‘I’m tired of exploring forest Kray!  I need some adventure in my life.  Same old trees, same old branches and even the same old food!’ whined Shadow.  ‘Well Shadow, I think ‘old food’ is kinda nice for me.  Especially rabbits and birds’ said Kray while licking his jowls.  ‘I can’t wait to see what’s dad gonna bring home for me!  ‘Kray are you even listening to what I say? WE NEED ADVENTURES!!!’  ‘Okay, okay I get it.  But where are you gonna find that little ‘adventure’ of yours?’  ‘Why across the two-legs stream of course!  ‘I saw a two-leg holding a stick walking around some cows. I wanna know why? Don’t you?’ asked Shadow excitedly.  ‘Don’t you know what the two-legs are known for Shadow?’ replied Kray, a little worried.  ‘Of course I do Kray! But I want to know why okay Kray. We’ll just be by the stream, no crossing over it. PLEASE!’ begged Shadow while wagging his tail.  ‘Okay fine!’ Shadow gave a whoop.  ‘But only by the stream.  If anyone catches us snooping around it would be because we’re thirsty and getting a drink from the stream’

  Shadow and Kray soon arrived by the stream.  Just like Shadow said, a two-leg was there.  It was not walking around cows, the two-leg was just sitting under a tree holding something and staring at it for a long time.  It also had long hair.  ‘Shadow, I thought you said walking around cows. Not staring at something.’ Cried Kray in disappointment.

~ UNDER CONSTRUCTION~

It was my first time leaving home, I have nowhere to go at first.  Driving around in my Kenari all the way to Sungei Wang and back.  Suddenly, an idea hit me.  Why don’t I rent a place in Sue’s apartment?  She would be delighted to have me there!

Few hours later, I was unpacking my stuff in my room, my new room.  Laughing while thinking about the expression on Sue’s face when I told her about renting a room in her place.  At first, she refused me money and said that I could stay for free.  Of course, I could not accept her offer.  And finally, Sue gave in.

Sue and I had many girly nights together.  After work, we would sit down near the balcony and start reminiscing the good old days together.  When was our first kiss? How was it like? And both of us would burst out laughing after hearing our own answers.

Sometimes, we would go out for dinner together.  Just the two of us.  Or maybe, we would just bury our heads together in a cookbook we just bought.  Making things like pasta, cakes and many other things.  Luckily, they were edible.

Of course, mom called every now and then.  Asking about my work and the stuff that has been happening lately.  Well, we all know how moms are like.  Sometimes, I would also speak with my bratty little brother and sister, but not as frequent as mom as she was hogging the phone all the time.

One day, Sue suggested we throw a party.  A birthday party for me and for her.  Both of us were in a very girly mood that very day.  We went window-shopping in KLCC, trying out some clothes and putting them back.  Dropping by the supermarket to get chip n’ dips for the party and some ingredients for the cake.  We were planning to make it by ourselves! Imagine that!

Our ‘birthday’ finally arrived.  One by one old friends showed up.  Rafidah, Yiwen, MeiTeng, KarShin, CJ and many more.  Our apartment was really crowded.  But nobody paid any attention to it as they were happy to see their old friends again after losing contact for so many years.

After cutting the cake, all of us were sipping some drinks when Sue wanted to make an announcement.  ‘Class of 2007! I have an announcement to make!’  All of us kept quiet, anxious to know what is she going to say.  ‘I’m getting married next year with Chad!  So please leave your addresses’ with me so that I could contact you and send you an invitation card.’  We were shocked, especially me.  I knew she had a boyfriend, but I did not know anything about the wedding.  Nevertheless, I was still excited for her and was the first one to congratulate her.

A few months later, it was Sue’s wedding day.  Obviously, I was the bridesmaid.  I was happy and sad at the same time.  Happy because Sue’s finally found her prince charming, sad because she was not going to have time for me anymore and I was still single.

We had a dinner party later on.  I was still in my dress getting ready; Sue was in the other room doing the same.  Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. ‘Come in!’ I replied.  Sue came in and sat down on my bed.  ‘You know Justine, I will miss you a lot!’ ‘Me too.’ ‘I want you to know that although I’m married, I’m still going to spend some time with you okay?’  Tears came flowing out, and later, both of us were hugging and crying.  After awhile, I was the first to break the silence.  ‘Come on Sue, let’s get you ready for they party.  You do want to look hot, don’t you?’

I was sitting at the dinner table beside Sue, listening to her and her family talking.  When suddenly, Sue turned to me and said ‘Justine, I want you to meet my cousin Yunho.’  I looked at the direction she was pointing at, and saw a guy with the loveliest brown eyes waving at me and Sue.  ‘He’s still single you know.’ Whispered Sue.  I grinned, looks like I won’t be lonely and single anymore.
